UFC’s March 26th card won’t have a fight between featherweights David Onama and Nate Landwehr after all.
The fight, which was just reported earlier this month, has reportedly been removed from the card due to undisclosed reasons. News of the canceled bout was confirmed last week by Damon Martin of MMA Fighting.
The matchup was scheduled to take place at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, USA.
Onama won his UFC debut just last month, securing a first-round finish win against veteran Gabriel Benitez. In this new booking, Onama was stepping in to replace Landwehr’s original opponent, Lerone Murphy.
Landwehr was aiming to ride the momentum of a submission victory he scored against Ludovit Klein last year.
Heavyweights Curtis Blaydes and Chris Daukaus are currently set to headline UFC’s March 26th show.
