Returning for the first time since their massive 10th-anniversary card, ONE Championship is planning on hosting 16 fights for their “Reloaded” show on April 22nd. The show, which was announced in its entirety on Thursday, includes kickboxing and Muay Thai title fights, along with 10 MMA bouts in total.
In the main event, kickboxing champion Regian Eersel will look to defend his belt against Arian Sadikovic.
Eersel has defended his belt three times since first earning it in 2019. His last victory came late last year, where he went five rounds against Islam Murtazaev for a split decision victory.
Sadikovic, a former GLORY Kickboxing fighter, is being given the title shot after winning his debut fight for ONE. That bout came late last year, as he defeated former title challenger Mustapha Haida on scorecards.
ONE To Crown New Muay Thai Champ
ONE will crown a new Muay Thai champion in the co-main event, as Smilla Sundell and Jackie Buntan will battle for a vacant belt.
Buntan has earned three wins since joining the ONE roster last year. She made a splash in her promotional debut, pulling off an upset win over Wondergirl Fairtex. She has since also defeated Ekaterina Vandaryeva and Daniela Lopez.
Sundell picked up a finish win during her ONE debut just two months back, stopping Diandra Martin in the third round of a bout.
Undefeated Masunyane To Take On Brooks
The top MMA bout on the card will see former UFC fighter Jarred Brooks take on undefeated prospect Bokang Masunyane.
Brooks has been on a roll since joining the ONE roster last year, quickly ascending up their 125-pound ranks. He most recently fought in January, where he went three rounds against Hiroba Minowa for a decision victory.
Masunyane, a former Pancrase and EFC fighter, has picked up two wins since entering ONE in late 2019. His last victory came in December 2020, where he caught Rene Catalan in the first minute with a head kick.
Muay Thai Veterans To Return
Both returning to ONE after an absence, Mungthai P.K.Saenchaimuaythaigym and Liam Harrison will meet on the main card.
Mungthai has fought in ONE a couple of times before, although he has not appeared since early 2020. Now returning after a few years out of the cage, he will fight to keep his winning streak going.
Harrison’s last appearance was also in early 2020. In that fight, he stopped Mohammed Bin Mahmoud in the first round with punches.
Undefeated Almeida To Face Kane
Heavyweight prospect Marcus Almeida (also known as “Marcus Buchecha”) will search for his third pro win when facing Oumar Kane on the main card.
Almeida has shown his extensive grappling background in MMA since making his debut last year. He scored his second pro victory in December, where he stopped Kang Ji Won in under three minutes via rear naked choke.
Kane is returning after suffering his first pro loss last year, losing a fight to Kirill Grishenko.
Kawahara, Williams To Open Main Card
Flyweights Namiki Kawahara and Danial Williams are booked to open the card.
Kawahara joined the ONE roster on short notice early last year, stepping in to fight Lito Adiwang. The former DEEP Strawweight Champion lost that fight, getting finished in the second round.
Williams is coming off a successful first MMA appearance for ONE just a couple of months back, stopping Dejdamrong Sor. Amnuaysirichoke with strikes. His previous appearance for the promotion was a three-round Muay Thai fight against Rodtang Jitmuangnon.
