UFC’s May 14th card has lost a featherweight contest.
A fight between Daniel Pineda and Jamall Emmers has reportedly been removed from the card, per Nolan King and Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie.
The pairing was scheduled to take place on a “Fight Night” card from the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. The bout’s departure from the card is due to undisclosed reasons and could potentially get re-booked, per the report.
In the booking, Pineda was fighting to earn his first victory in over a year. His last two appearances in the UFC cage have resulted in a finish loss and a no contest.
Emmers was finished in his last appearance, suffering defeat against Pat Sabatini last year. His current UFC record sits at one win and two losses.
UFC’s May 14th event is currently scheduled to be headlined by light heavyweights Jan Blachowicz and Aleksandar Rakic.
