Lightweights Drakkar Klose and Diego Ferreira are being paired up for UFC’s July 30th pay-per-view event, per a recent report from Ariel Helwani.
The matchup is joining UFC 277, which doesn’t have a confirmed location at the moment.
Klose is coming off a successful return from earlier this year, scoring a second-round stoppage win against Brandon Jenkins. That fight was his first appearance in over two years, with his previous fight dating back to a loss against Beneil Dariush at UFC 248.
Ferreira will attempt to snap a three-fight losing streak in his next appearance. This unsuccessful string of outings was developed in 2021 alone when he lost against many high-level names in the division.
Ferreira’s last fight was a stoppage defeat against former KSW Lightweight Champion Mateusz Gamrot in December 2021.
UFC is currently aiming to book flyweights Brandon Moreno and Kai Kara-France for an interim title bout in the main event of their July 30th card. Here’s an updated look at the lineup for that card:
Bout 5: Brandon Moreno (19-6-2) vs. Kai Kara-France (24-9) (Vacant Interim UFC Flyweight Championship)
Bout 4: Derrick Lewis (26-9) vs. Sergei Pavlovich (15-1) (Heavyweight)
Bout 3: Magomed Ankalaev (17-1) vs. Anthony Smith (36-16) (Light Heavyweight)
Bout 2: Paulo Costa (13-2) vs. Luke Rockhold (16-5) (Middleweight)
