Jessica Andrade To Face Manon Fiorot At September 3rd UFC Card

Manon Fiorot has been given a massive change in opponent. The rising UFC flyweight will face former champion Jessica Andrade at the promotion’s September 3rd card, per an announcement made earlier this week.

Fiorot was originally scheduled to face Katlyn Chookagian at the Accor Arena in Paris, France. However, plans changed after Chookagian withdrew from their booking.

The new booking arguably provides Fiorot a bigger step-up fight than she was first expected to have.

Andrade, a former titleholder at strawweight and a recent flyweight title challenger, is on a two-fight winning streak currently. She stopped the strawweight run of Amanda Lemos in April, scoring a first-round finish win against her in a main event bout.

Andrade can spoil another fighter’s campaign later this year.

Fiorot has yet to lose since joining the UFC roster last year. She has earned four wins in that time, including two finish victories.

Fiorot’s last win came against veteran Jennifer Maia, who she beat via decision in March.

A fight between Ciryl Gane and Tai Tuivasa is expected to headline UFC’s September 3rd show. Here is how the event looks currently:

Bout 4: Ciryl Gane (10-1) vs. Tai Tuivasa (15-3) (Heavyweight)

Bout 3: Jessica Andrade (23-9) vs. Manon Fiorot (9-1) (Flyweight)

Bout 2: Makhmud Muradov (25-7) vs. Abusupiyan Magomedov (24-4-1) (Middleweight)

Bout 1: Robert Whittaker (23-6) vs. Marvin Vettori (18-4-1) (Middleweight)
