The quarter-finals for this year’s season of “The Ultimate Fighter” came to a close this week, as flyweight Brogan Walker picked up a unanimous decision victory over Hannah Guy.
The win made Walker the final flyweight semi-finalist of the season, joining Laura Gallardo, Kaytlin Neil, and Juliana Miller.
Walker’s boxing earned her a victory after two rounds. She clipped Guy numerous times with shots throughout the fight, earning her rounds on scorecards.
Walker earned a knockdown in the fourth minute of the bout, catching Guy with a right hook. Another right hook landed early in the second round, dropping Guy once again.
Guy gained some momentum late in the fight, taking the back of Walker for a rear naked choke attempt.
After two rounds, Guy’s team expected that the fight would be tied. Head coach and current UFC Bantamweight Champion Julianna Pena was surprised when the referee informed the fighters that the judges found a winner without an overtime round needed.
Walker, an Invicta FC vet, boasted a pro record of seven wins and two losses before the taping of this bout. Guy had a pro record of four wins and one loss, including a victory against Bellator talent Valerie Loureda.
The heavyweight semi-finals will kick off next week, as undefeated prospects Zac Pauga and Jordan Heiderman will compete.
