UFC 277 Loses Two Fights, Gains One Replacement

UFC’s July 30th pay-per-view event has recently undergone some changes. Two matchups have departed UFC 277, although one new bout has already been made to keep someone on the card.

All of the changes affect a show that is set to take place at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, USA.

Agapova Out of Fight Against Kim, Edwards To Step-In

Kim Ji-yeon has been given a new opponent for her next flyweight appearance. She is no longer expected to face Mariya Agapova and is now reportedly being lined up against Joselyne Edwards.

News of the change was first reported by Mike Heck of MMA Fighting.

It is not known why Agapova withdrew from her fight against Kim. She was aiming to bounce back from a recent submission loss to Maryna Moroz.

Now with a new opponent in place, Kim will be fighting for her first win since 2019. She has lost three consecutive appearances but is coming off a recent “Fight of the Night” bout against Priscila Cachoeira.

Edwards snapped a two-fight skid in her last bout, defeating Ramona Pascual in June.

Injury Forces Ferreira Out of Booking Against Klose

A fight between Diego Ferreira and Drakkar Klose has also departed the card, per Cole Shelton of BJPenn.com.

Ferreira reportedly left the card due to an undisclosed injury. The promotion is currently looking to find a new opponent for Klose to face.

Klose won his return bout earlier this year, appearing for the first time in over two years to stop Brandon Jenkins with strikes.

The now-canceled booking at UFC 277 gave Ferreira a chance to break his three-fight losing streak.
