Ranked middleweights Derek Brunson and Jack Hermansson as part of UFC’s winter schedule.
UFC is reportedly aiming to pair up Brunson and Hermansson for their December 3rd event, per a report from Ariel Helwani. If the fight can be finalized, it will join a card that doesn’t have a set location currently.
Both middleweight names have hung around the top of the division in recent years.
Hermansson has possibly earned a gatekeeper status as of late, losing against some high-up challengers but also ending the upward climbs up many prospects.
He handed Chris Curtis his first UFC loss in July, prevailing in a stand-up battle to earn a unanimous decision victory. That fight put Hermansson back into the win column after suffering a five-round loss to Sean Strickland earlier in the year.
Brunson will be appearing for the first time since his recent campaign for a title fight was put on hold. His strong five-fight winning streak suddenly came to an end in February, suffering a second-round finish loss against Jared Cannonier at UFC 271.
It is not known whether a fight between Brunson and Hermansson would serve as the main event for the card, or if it is simply just part of the lineup. Here’s a look at all of the fights that have been reported for December 3rd thus far:
