Dan Hooker Set For Lightweight Return Against Claudio Puelles At UFC 281

Coming back down to his regular weight class, Dan Hooker will face rising talent Claudio Puelles at UFC’s November 12th show.

The fight is scheduled to take place as part of UFC 281 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York, USA, as first reported by FordewinMMA.

Hooker briefly appeared at featherweight in March, facing Arnold Allen. The fight, which Hooker lost via first-round finish, was his first appearance in the 145-pound weight class since 2016.

Hooker is certainly due for a win going into this next bout, having lost four of his last five appearances. However, it’s worth noting that previous defeats in the streak came against high-level lightweight names like Dustin Poirier and Islam Makhachev.

The upcoming fight offers Puelles the chance to add a big win to his current run.

Puelles has developed a five-fight winning streak since 2018. He has scored a rare kneebar submission in his last two appearances, beating Chris Gruetzemacher and Clay Guida.

UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya is scheduled to face rival Alex Pereira in the main event of UFC 281. Here’s a look at the growing pay-per-view card:
