Veteran heavyweight Aleksei Oleinik is no longer on the UFC roster.
Oleinik departed the promotion after fulfilling the requirements of his last contract, per a report from Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting.
While Oleinik is no longer on the UFC roster, he still could possibly get offered a new contract from the promotion later on. It is not known at the moment whether there is any intention to bring him back at any point.
Oleinik, 45, competed a total of 17 times since joining the UFC roster in 2014. He already had an experienced MMA background prior to then, with more than 50 wins already on his record.
The experienced talent scored his milestone 60th pro victory in April, submitting Jared Vanderaa in the first round. That fight was the one bright spot in a long skid in recent years, losing four of his last five fights.
