Vera landed a few punches before clinching with Song in the second round. After Song clinched up with Vera, both of them connected with short distance strikes. It felt like Vera heated up in this round, with Song also turning up the intensity. As the round was winding down, Song was against the cage and defending punches that Vera was connecting with.
Vera opened the final round by landing a knee and then clinching up again. Vera got a takedown from the clinch, going into full guard after trying to full mount. They stood back up with a minute and a half passed. Song was connecting with jabs on the feet. Vera got another takedown with a minute to go. Song was quick to get back up. After Song collapsed while trying for a takedown, Vera took top position on the ground. They got up for the final 10 seconds where Song dumped Vera to the ground.
