A new date has been circled for the UFC, with August 15th being targeted as a fight night after news broke of Livia Renata Souza and Ashley Yoder being paired for the day.
Reported first by Raphael Marinho of Combate, the strawweight matchup will be the first 2020 appearance from both fighter. The location for the fight and event is not known currently.
Souza joined the UFC in 2018, being scouted after picking up four wins in five appearances in regional women’s MMA promotion Invicta FC. Winning her first two UFC fights, Souza saw only the second loss of her career last July, losing to Brianna Van Buren via decision. She looks to get back in the win column in August.
Yoder is more experienced in the UFC, joining the roster in 2016. Losing in her first three outings, Yoder got her first win in late 2018, taking Amanda Cooper to a split decision.
After her second win, a decision against Syuri Kondo, Yoder lost last October to Randa Markos. Yoder will look for her third UFC win in August.
