Two matchups were added to UFC’s June 27th show recently.
Joining the club of fighters who are taking quick turnaround bouts, Ian Heinisch will be paired with fellow middleweight Brendan Allen on a June 27th UFC show. First reported by Raphael Marinho of Combate, the fight will be on a card in the Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.
Heinisch’s last fight was a win over Gerald Meerschaert, stopping him in the first round with strikes.
Allen’s most recent fight came in February, getting a stoppage win over Tom Breese. Allen is 2-0 in the UFC, earning his contract after a strong performance in 2019 on TV series “Dana White’s Contender Series.”
Gall To Face Perry Following Callout
Reported by Mike Heck of MMA Fighting on Tuesday, Mickey Gall and Mike Perry are also set to clash on the card. The fight gives Gall a matchup he craved, having previously called out “Platinum” Perry on MMA Fighting program “What The Heck.”
The matchup is the first 2020 fight for both athletes. Between the two, Gall has the longer layoff, having last fought in August of 2019, where we got a decision win over Salim Touahri.
Perry has lost his last two, fighting Vicente Luque and Geoff Neal. His loss to Neal, which happened at UFC 245 in December, was a first-round stoppage due to strikes.
