Experienced featherweights Jared Gordon and Chris Fishgold will collide as part of UFC’s July 15th card. Reported first by Mike Heck of MMA Fighting, the matchup has potential for either fighter to bounce back from a loss.
Heading into his fourth UFC fight, Fishgold has a 1-2 record in the promotion. Now a year since his last fight, Fishgold was most recently caught in an anaconda choke from Makwan Amirkhani on a June 2019 UFC card.
Gordon’s also coming off a loss, albeit one that wasn’t as long ago. His previous loss came by the hands of Charles Oliveira, who scored a win with strikes in the first round. Being in the UFC since 2017, Gordon has a record of 3-3 in the promotion.
The UFC “Fight Night” card is still in development, as a main event has not been attached to the card as of yet. The show is one of the few set to happen at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, a location the UFC is using to book international talent in.
