Although there’s less than a week until UFC’s next event, they’re still adding bouts to the card. Making the total of fights to 10 for their June 27th card, two more matchups were booked recently.
Takashi Sato vs. Ramiz Brahimaj
First reported by Shu Hirata, former Pancrase fighter Takashi Sato will fight Ramiz Brahimaj, who will be making his UFC debut. Brahimaj fought many times in high-level regional promotion LFA, going 4-2 in the promotion from 2017 to 2019. He comes into this fight on a year’s absence, last competing in early 2019.
Sato made his UFC debut in 2019 after fighting in Japanese MMA promotion Pancrase. Defeating Ben Saunders in his first UFC appearance, Sato returned at UFC 242, losing to Belal Muhammad. He looks to come back from a loss in this bout.
Jordan Griffin vs. Youssef Zalal
Reported by Mike Heck of MMA Fighting, Jordan Griffin will face Youssef Zalal on the card as well.
Griffin was meant to fight earlier in June, although his fight was pulled after Darrick Minner fell ill during a weight cut. The “Dana White’s Contender Series” alum has a 1-2 UFC record.
Zalal won his UFC debut in February after being favoured on scorecards over Austin Lingo.
