Aspen Ladd Out of June 27th Fight Following Injury

Aspen Ladd’s June 27th fight against Sara McMann won’t happen, as injury has forced her out of the booking. First reported by John Morgan of MMA Junkie, it was later revealed by Ariel Helwani of ESPN that Ladd had a torn ACL and MCL.

Per Morgan, the timeline for Ladd’s return is currently within the time period of three to nine months.

Ladd issued a statement on her injury via Instagram, mentioning “I got injured on my last hard day of training last week but still planned on toughing it out and fighting, I didn’t realize quite how bad it was.”

“I’ll know later this week Iif [if] surgery is in my future, but hope to be back in the cage before the end of the year,” Ladd went on to say.

It is not known yet if Ladd’s opponent, McMann, has a replacement opponent.
