Burgos Drops To 14th

After losing a co-main event battle on Saturday via decision, Shane Burgos has went down to 14th in the featherweight division, losing four spots. His opponent, Josh Emmett, did not move in the ranks, staying in eighth place.

The ripple effect of the movement saw Dan Ige, Arnold Allen, Jose Aldo, Ryan Hall and Sodiq Yusuff move up one spot in the division each.

Volkov Loses Seventh

After losing his main event fight to Curtis Blaydes on Saturday, Alexander Volkov moved down to eighth in the division, giving seventh to Alistair Overeem. The win for Blaydes did not move him from his third-place spot in the division.

Pennington’s Win Moves Her

Raquel Pennington is now one of the top five bantamweight contenders, passing Irene Aldana. Pennington’s move comes after a win last Saturday over Marion Reneau. Julia Avila also moved into 15th in the division.

Small Movements

Some movement in the rankings happened despite none of the fighters competing last weekend. Leon Edwards took fourth in the welterweight division, taking the spot from Tyron Woodley. Lower in the division, Vicente Luque took 12th from Robbie Lawler.

Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone went into 11th place in the lightweight division, bumping Gregor Gillespie down a spot.

Winning a main event two weeks ago, Cynthia Calvillo’s pound-for-pound 15th place spot has been upgraded to 14th, passing Nina Ansaroff.

Low on the strawweight rankings, Felice Herrig went from 13th to 15th, passing Angela Hill and Amanda Ribas.

Tim Elliott moved up to 12th in the flyweight division, passing Jordan Espinosa.
