A welterweight battle between Vicente Luque and Randy Brown has joined the August 1st UFC card which has formed lately. First revealed on the Twitch account of Brown, the fight was later confirmed by MMA Fighting.
This matchup was first booked for March, with the plan falling through after UFC had to cancel events due to COVID-19.
Luque is one of the few fighters which has competed on a card recently, as a win in May came against Niko Price after doctor stoppage in the third round. The fight was a bounce back from a late 2019 decision loss to Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson.
Brown’s last two fights were wins, prevailing over Bryan Barberena and Warlley Alves. This fight is his first in 2020 and if he wins it, he will be on the longest winning streak in his UFC run.
The main event for the show is a five-round fight between Holly Holm and Irene Aldana. With no location set for the event, the show has eight fights scheduled. Here’s how it looks currently.
