Japanese MMA promotion RIZIN Fighting Federation is set to return with hold back-to-back shows on August 9th and 10th. The two events are set to happen at the Pia Arena MM in Yokohama, Japan, with limited attendance.
RIZIN held a press conference through Youtube on Tuesday announcing the events.
To help raise money for the event, RIZIN has made a crowdfunding website that fans can donate to. The website has a goal of raising 50,000,000 JPY, the equivalent of $464,528 USD. On Tuesday night, the campaign had reached nine percent of its goal (4,750,556 JPY).
Regional Japanese Muay Thai promotion “Battle of Muay Thai” did a similar crowdfunding concept for an event a couple of weeks ago, raising 3,277,500 JPY.
Fights for RIZIN’s next two events, RIZIN 22 and RIZIN 23 will be revealed later.
RIZIN’s last event was RIZIN 21, which happened on February 22nd at the Hamamatsu Arena in Hamamatsu, Japan.
