Rosa consistently got Rosa with hooks and jabs early in the first round. Rosa was landing as well, but the volume that Melo put out was much higher. Rosa got a takedown with just over a minute to go in the round.
Melo had a takedown attempt stopped in the second minute of the second round, being stopped with a clinch on the feet. Rosa eventually got a takedown from the clinch. Rosa landed a flurry of punches on the ground, keeping the position until the round ended.
Melo stopped a takedown attempt halfway into the final round. Melo had her best round yet, walking down Rosa and landing punches. They stayed in a clinch for the final minute of the fight. Going to the scorecards, Rosa won the fight (30-26, 30-26 & 30-27).
