Canadian featherweight Gavin Tucker will return to the octagon on August 8th when paired with Justin Jaynes. The matchup was first reported by Nolan King of MMA Junkie.
Tucker entered the UFC in 2017, having competed three times since. His last fight was just under a year ago, where he stopped Seung Woo Choi in the third round with a rear naked choke.
Tucker was meant to face Billy Quarantillo in April before COVID-19 changed UFC’s schedule.
Jaynes, his opponent, is still a fresh face to UFC viewers. His promotional debut came in June, taking a short notice fight on a “Fight Night” show from Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Stopping Frank Camacho in the first minute with strikes, Jaynes had a strong debut that moved his streak of wins to five.
