UFC’s August 29th event is out of a main event, as Yair Rodriguez has withdrawn from his five-round fight versus Zabit Magomedsharipov due to injury. News of the injury was first reported by Carlos Contreras Legaspi of Milenio.
Rodriguez suffered a fractured ankle, forcing him to be removed from the card. The fight was set to be the first 2020 performance from Rodriguez, with his previous fight being a three-round decision victory over Jeremy Stephens.
Magomedsharipov looked to his currently 14-fight streak of wins, which includes six fights in the UFC. It is not known currently if Magomedsharipov will have a replacement opponent for the bout.
Without a five-round fight, here’s how the UFC “Fight Night” card looks currently, which is set to happen is Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
