UFC.com’s rankings were updated following Saturday’s “Fight Night” event, with the biggest mover being flyweight Jennifer Maia. Moving up three spots, Maia took third place in the flyweight division.
The move came after a win on Saturday night over Joanne Calderwood, finishing her in the first round with an armbar. Due to her loss, Calderwood fell two spots, now seated fifth in the division. Calderwood took the Saturday bout on short notice, replacing eighth-ranked Vivane Araujo.
Brunson Moves To Seventh
The headlining middleweights on the card also saw a slight movement, with Derek Brunson and Edmen Shahbazyan both going into new spots. Winning the fight in the third round, Brunson moved up to seventh in the 185-pound division, overtaking Kelvin Gastelum.
Shahbazyan, who took his first loss as a pro on Saturday, fell to 10th in the division, giving up ninth place to Uriah Hall.
Luque Into Top 10
Following a stoppage victory in the second round over Randy Brown, Vicente Luque saw a slight jump in the welterweight division, moving up from 11th to 10th. The move took Geoff Neal down a spot.
