UFC’s September 26th show got a featherweight bout added to it on Thursday as news broke of a pairing between Mirsad Bektic and Eduardo Garagorri. The matchup was first reported by Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting.
For the first time in his career, Bektic will look to break a two-fight losing streak. The TriStar fighter’s last fight was a split decision loss in February, not being favoured over Dan Ige at UFC 247. In his fight before, Bektic was stopped in the first round by Josh Emmett.
Garagorri faced his first loss in his last bout, being caught in a rear naked choke against Ricardo Ramos in a November bout. His fight before was his UFC debut, competing in his home country of Uruguay, where he took a decision win over Humberto Bandenay.
