The same day that Impa Kasanganay fought for his UFC contract on TV series “Dana White’s Contender Series” he also got booked to face Maki Pitolo on an August 22nd UFC card.
News of the booking was revealed on Tuesday night at a press conference following the TV episode that Kasanganay competed on.
Kasanganay’s performance on Tuesday night was a decision victory against Anthony Adams. The fight was his second appearance on “Dana White’s Contender Series,” as he also appeared on a 2019 episode where he defeated Kailan Hill.
Along with the other winners on Tuesday’s episode, Kasanganay was offered a UFC contract for his performance.
Like Kasanganay, Pitolo entered the UFC through “Dana White’s Contender Series.” With a successful performance against Justin Sumter, Pitolo earned his UFC contract in 2019. He has fought three times since then, losing two of the bouts.
Pitolo will compete in his second fight this month, as he lost to Darren Stewart on August 8th via first-round guillotine choke.
