A lightweight matchup between Ottman Azaitar and Khama Worthy has joined UFC’s September 5th card. News broke of the booking on Wednesday following an Instagram post on Azaitar’s page.
The booking is the second attempt at a matchup between the two, as an April bout was cancelled due to COVID-19 affecting events.
“It’s official, see you soon in Las Vegas,” said Azaitar via Instagram.
The fight will be Azaitar’s second test in the UFC, with his promotional debut being a first-round stoppage victory over Teemu Packalen at UFC 242 last September. Azaitar has remained undefeated as a professional through 12 fights.
“Let the violence begin, September 5th we do WORK,” said Worthy in his own Instagram post.
Worthy has had his own momentum as of late, getting his second UFC win last June in a bout against Luis Pena. Worthy will carry a seven-fight winning streak into September.
