With only a few days left until Saturday’s pay-per-view event UFC 252, the card has gotten a last-minute addition of a bout between Kai Kamaka III and Tony Kelley. News of the late booking was first reported by Nolan King of MMA Junkie.
The fight will be a debut for both rising featherweights. It’s a quick turnaround for Kamaka III, who last competed on July 31st. Kamaka III’s last fight was on an LFA card, getting a decision victory over Michael Stack. The fight moved the Hawaii-based fighter to five-straight wins, including a couple in Bellator.
On the flipside, Kelley will be having his first fight in over a year. His last win came in May of 2019, where he stopped Andy Brossett in the first round with a guillotine choke. Kelley has fought as a pro since 2013, with his only loss in six fights being against now-UFC fighter Kevin Aguilar.
