Two long-time UFC fighters in Bethe Correia and Evan Dunham were cut from the promotion’s roster on Wednesday. News of the cuts were first reported by Damon Martin and Guilherme Cruz of MMA Fighting.
Correia joined the UFC in 2013, attaining five wins and five losses in her run. Early in her promotional stint she worked her way up to a bantamweight title shot, losing to then-champion Ronda Rousey in under a minute due to punches.
Corriea’s last fight was in late July, losing to Pannie Kianzad via decision.
Dunham had a long UFC run, having fought 21 times from 2009 to present. His last four fights included three losses and a draw, making it the longest time in his career that he had went without a win. His last bout was in June, losing to Herbert Burns in the second minute due to a rear naked choke.
