The UFC’s “Wizard” will have to wait for his return to the cage, as Ryan Hall has been removed from his August 29th bout against Ricardo Lamas. News of the cancelled bout was first reported by John Morgan of MMA Junkie.
The bout now sees it’s second cancellation, as it’s original date in May was pushed away due to COVID-19. It is not known at the moment why Hall withdrew from the bout.
Per Morgan, a replacement opponent for Lamas is currently being searched for.
Hall’s last fight is now over a year ago, with the Tristar Gym fighter getting a decision win over Darren Elkins. His nearly five-year UFC run has only seen four fights thus far, all being wins.
Lamas was looking to bounce back from a 2019 loss to Calvin Kattar in his bout against Hall. In his last five fights, Lamas has won two.
