After earning his UFC contract on TV series “Dana White’s Contender Series” in August, TJ Laramie will make his UFC debut against Darrick Minner on September 19th. News of the matchup was first reported on Wednesday by The Canadian Press (published by Yahoo!).
Laramie’s early August win on the “Contender Series” came against Daniel Swain. The victory occurred at the end of the first round, with a rib injury from Swain forcing him to pull out of the fight.
The former PFC Featherweight Champion had three consecutive wins on the regional scene prior to his August bout.
Minner lost his UFC debut last February, being stopped in the second round with a rear naked choke from Grant Dawson. The featherweight’s two previous fights outside the promotion were first-round wins via submission.
Minner was scheduled for a bout against Jordan Griffin last June, although he pulled out on short notice after falling ill during his weight cut.
