Mike Rodriguez will step up with limited time to prepare, taking a September 12th UFC booking against Ed Herman. First reported by Alexander K. Lee, Steven Marrocco and Damon Martin of MMA Fighting, the matchup sees Rodriguez replace John Allan, who was taken off the card due to visa issues.
The last fight for Rodriguez was in August, defeating Marcin Prachnio in the third minute with strikes. His previous fight was a loss in December to Da Un Jung via TKO.
Herman will aim to get his winning streak to three-in-a-row on September 12th. His two previous fights were in 2019, defeating Patrick Cummins and Khadis Ibragimov. Before his streak of wins, Herman lost three consecutive bouts.
A win on September 12th for Herman would mark the third time in his UFC career that he earned three wins-in-a-row.
The pairing joins the September 12th UFC card which is expected to happen at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Here’s the card currently.
