Saturday’s UFC card is down to 12 fights, as a bout between Matt Schnell and Tyson Nam has been removed from the show. News of the change broke on Friday via Marc Raimondi of ESPN, who noted that Schnell was taken out of his bout due to “weight-management issues.”
The fight was set to be Schnell’s first of 2020 after a three-fight 2019. His last fight came in late 2019, losing to Alexandre Pantoja in the first round via stoppage. The loss snapped a four-fight streak of wins.
Nam carried positive momentum into the fight, as last June he earned his first UFC victory when he stopped Zarrukh Adashev in under a minute.
