Finishing off Saturday’s eight-fight preliminary card, Jordan Espinosa fought fellow flyweight David Dvorak. Their fight went like this.
Bout 8: Jordan Espinosa (15-7) vs. David Dvorak (18-3) (Flyweight)
Espinosa landed a clean right hand in the first minute of the bout. Dvorak landed a leg kick which swept Espinosa off of his feet. He continued to connect with numerous loud, slapping leg kicks throughout the fight. Dvorak avoided a takedown attempt in the third minute of the fight.
Espinosa limped for a moment after Dvorak scored a leg kick early in the second round. Dvorak spent most of the round walking Espinosa down, getting Espinosa on his backfoot.
Dvorak came forward and clinched with Espinosa early in the third round, landing a few punches in the process. Espinosa got wobbled by a leg kick in the fourth minute of the round. Another leg kick hurt him even more. Dvorak would charge in with combinations that would sometimes land. A small cut opened under the left eye of Dvorak before the fight ran out of time. Dvorak won on all scorecards (30-27, 30-27 & 30-27).
RESULT: David Dvorak def. Jordan Espinosa via Decision, Unanimous
