Markus Perez is in need of a new opponent for his October 10th bout on a UFC card, as his original opponent, Rodolfo Viera, has withdrawn from the matchup. News of the withdrawal was first reported by Raphael Marinho and Ana Hissa of Combate on Monday.
It is not known currently why Vieira withdrew from the card. It is also not known whether Perez will get a replacement bout for the event, which is 18 days away.
Vieira is currently undefeated as a pro in MMA. He made his UFC debut in August of 2019, defeating Oskar Piechota in the second round via arm triangle choke. He returned last March at UFC 248 to stop Saparbeg Safarov in the first round with the same submission.
Perez has fought five times in the UFC since his promotional debut in 2017. His last fight was a loss, dropping a decision to Wellington Turman in November of 2019.
