Looking to end a long streak of losses, former Interim UFC Welterweight Champion Carlos Condit fought Court McGee on Saturday’s UFC card. Here’s how the matchup panned out.
Bout 6: Carlos Condit (30-13) vs. Court McGee (19-9) (Welterweight)
The first round saw both fighters throw a large number of kicks. Both fighters slowly increased their tempo in the round as they started to figure each other out. A counter-right hook dropped McGee in the final second of the round. The punch visibly injured the nose of McGee.
McGee started to bleed early in the second round after Condit landed another punch. Condit was the sharper striker through the second round.
McGee was walking forward with strikes to start the final round. Condit caught a kick, kicking the other of McGee to dump him in the second minute of the third round. Condit was the more comfortable striker throughout the final round. Condit got the win after three rounds (30-27, 30-27 & 30-27).
RESULT: Carlos Condit def. Court McGee via Decision, Unanimous
