Corey Anderson’s Bellator debut now has a date, as he is scheduled to face Melvin Manhoef at Bellator 251 on November 5th. The fight will headline a card from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, USA.
News of the matchup was announced by Bellator on Wednesday.
The fight will be Anderson’s first outside the UFC since 2013. Winner of season 19 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” Anderson had a career in the UFC that resulted in 10 wins and five losses.
Anderson last competed in February, being stopped in the first round by now-UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jan Blachowicz. The loss ended a four-fight streak of wins, his longest since joining the promotion.
Bellator announced their contract with Anderson in August.
Manhoef will return to Bellator on the card in hopes to earn his third-straight victory in MMA. The veteran in his own right won his two 2019 appearances, defeating both Kent Kauppinen and Yannick Bahati via decision.
The matchup is the first to be announced for Bellator’s November 5th card.
