Bellator has attached four bouts to the preliminary card for their October 29th card, Bellator 250. The fights will take place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, USA.
Bobby Voelker vs. Sabah Homasi
Former UFC fighter Bobby Voelker will get his first shot in Bellator on the card when matched with Sabah Homasi. Voelker had a four-fight run in the UFC, losing all of his bouts from 2013 to 2014.
He has since competed in Shamrock FC, attaining nine wins and one loss in the promotion. He last competed in April of 2019, defeating Cameron VanCamp via decision.
Homasi will look for his third-straight Bellator win when he faces Voelker. He made his 2020 return last August, defeating Curtis Millender via decision. Prior to then, Homasi had a strong promotional debut, stopping Micah Terrill in 17 seconds via knockout.
Nick Newell vs. Zach Zane
Both returning for their first bout of 2019, Nick Newell and Zach Zane have been paired up for the card. The lightweight matchup was first reported by Alexander K. Lee of MMA Fighting.
The bout was first set to happen at Bellator 241, which was cancelled in March due to COVID-19 concerns.
Zane made his Bellator debut last December, picking up a win over Nainoa Dung via decision. He has previously been seen on UFC television series “Dana White’s Contender Series,” where he lost to Justin Gonzales via decision.
Newell made his Bellator debut in August of 2019, defeating Corey Browning within a round via submission. He returned in October of 2019, losing a split decision to Manny Muro.
