A positive marijuana test has voided Trevin Jones’ UFC win against Timur Valiev from last August.
Per a report from Steven Marrocco of MMA Fighting, the Nevada State Atheltic Commission has overturned the victory to a no-contest due to the drug test.
Along with the overturned bout, Jones has been suspended for four-and-a-half months by the commission and fined $1,800 of his fight purse.
The fight was Jones’ first in the UFC after an 18-fight career as a pro.
The matchup saw Jones make a comeback, stopping Valiev in the second round with strikes at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
