Play-by-Play:

Bout 1: Albert Gonzales (1-2) vs. Kastriot Xhema (3-4) (Welterweight)

Xhema scored a double leg takedown a minute into the fight. He got on the back of Gonzales, landing a few punches from the position. They returned to the feet after roughly half-a-minute on the ground. Xhema scored a takedown in the second minute of the fight, landing in full mount after. Gonzales gave up his back before the fight returned to the feet again. Xhema landed a series of punches on the feet. Xhema landed his third takedown in the third minute of the fight. He moved into full mount again, landing punches from the position. Gonzales attempted a guillotine choke while resisting a takedown in the fourth minute. A left hook from Xhema dropped Gonzales in the final minute of the round. Xhema kept full guard on top until the round concluded.

A doctor checked out a cut on Gonzales in-between the rounds. He allowed the fight to continue, although he warned the referee to keep him on a “short leash.” Xhema seemingly slipped early in the round. He took half guard on top after scrambling on the ground. The fight went back to the feet for a moment. Both extremely fatigued by the second minute in the round, Xhema pulled guard to take the feet to the ground. Taking the back of Gonzales, Xhema put in a rear naked choke. Xhema moved into full mount with two minutes left in the round. Gonzales was able to move into full guard on top. Xhema attempted an armbar, fully extending it for a long time until the round ran out of time. Xhema gave up before the third round started.

Bout 2: Aviv Gozali (4-0) vs. Logan Neal (1-0) (Welterweight)

Neal charged at Gozali to start the fight, jumping and shoving Gozali down for a takedown. The fight returned to the feet after. Neal scored a takedown a minute into the fight. He took full mount at first, being moved intl half guard by Gozali after. Gozali was able to stand up to the feet, pulling guard after attempting a guillotine choke. Gozali was able to use the choke to move into half guard on top. Gozali looked for an armbar in the third minute of the fight. Letting go of the choke, Gozali landed a few punches from a sprawl position before getting on the back of Neal. Gozali was in a reverse triangle position on Neal’s back. Gozali was able to transition to a kimura in the fourth minute of the fight that made Neal tap out.

Bout 3: Da’Mon Blackshear (7-3) vs. Mike Kimbel (3-2) (Catchweight 140 lbs)

The first round was a slow-paced striking battle from both fighters. Kimbel landed good counter-punches throughout the round. Blackshear connected with a fair amount of leg kicks. Kimbel finished the round with a combination of punches. Blackshear was the fighter advancing and keeping the pressure in the round.

Kimbel opened the second round with punches. Blackshear tried a takedown in the second minute of the round, although Kimbel was able to escape the attempt after being held for a moment. Blackshear got a takedown with a minute left in the round, getting on the back of Kimbel. He put in a rear naked choke that caused Kimbel to tap out.

Bout 4: Christian Edwards (3-0) vs. Hamza Salim (5-3) (Light Heavyweight)

The fight went against the cage early as Edwards had Salim in a clinch. The fight went back to striking a minute into the fight. Edwards put Salim against the cage again after failing to shoot for a takedown. Edwards was able to get on the back of Salim in the fourth minute of the fight, getting on his back. Edwards tried for a rear naked choke from the back. Salim was able to escape the choke, although Edwards remained on his back after. Edwards threw punches from the back until the round ran out of time.

Salim caught a teep kick early in the second round. Edwards was quick to get a takedown in the round. Getting on the back of Salim, Edwards attempted a rear naked choke again in the second minute of the round. Salim tapped out, ending the fight.

Bout 5: Kyle Crutchmer (6-0) vs. Kemran Lachinov (9-2) (Welterweight)

Both fighters connected with hard leg kicks early in the fight. Crutchmer was able to dip in and out, landing punches on Lachinov. Crutchmer was able to land a takedown in the final moments of the round, although Lachinov was able to get to his feet immediately.

The second round was entirely on the feet, with both fighters landing shots. Lachinov walked Crutchmer down for a large part of the round. Crutchmer looked for as takedown in the closing moments of the round, although Lachinov was quick to stop it.

Cructchmer landed a two-punch combination that fired Lachinov up in the second minute of the round. Lachinov allowed Crutchmer to land another two-punch combo to his head, staring at him while keeping his arms down. Crutchmer put Lachinov against the cage in a clinch in the third minute of the round. Lachinov took the fight to the ground in the closing second, looking for a kneebar before the round ran out of time. Needing judges to find a winner, Lachinov was given the win (29-28, 29-28 & 29-28).

Bout 6: Joseph Creer (7-1-1) vs. Andrew Kapel (15-7) (Middleweight)

Kapel was the sharper striker throughout the round, connecting with combinations in the first half of the round. Creer scored a takedown in the final 30 seconds of the round, moving into half guard after getting the fight down. He kept the position until the round concluded.

Kapel was able to scored a takedown with a hip toss early in the second round. Creer was quick to return to the feet and go into a clinch. The fight was paused after two minutes of the second round due to an eye poke to Kapel. Creer initiated a clinch where Kapel was able to land elbows. Creer got a takedown in the third minute of the round, getting half guard on top. Kapel was able to flip the position and take full guard on top. Kapel moved into half guard for a moment, landing a few hammerfist strikes before being moved back into full guard. A cut opened on Creer’s head at some point in the round. The fight was stopped in-between the second and third rounds due to the cut.

Bout 7: Saad Awad (23-13) vs. Mandel Nallo (7-1) (Lightweight)

Awad shot for a takedown a minute into the fight, although Nallo was able to stop the attempt. They clinched in the second minute of the fight, with a pause coming after Awad was hit in the groin with a knee. Awad was down for numerous minutes after the strike. A doctor was called into the cage eventually. The fight was called off eventually, being ruled a no contest.

Bout 8: Shawn Teed (6-2-1) vs. Steve Mowry (7-0) (Heavyweight)

Mowry pressured Teed right off the back with striking. Mowry landed a few knees to the head in a clinch three minutes into the fight. Teed was dropped by a knee to the head in the final minute of the fight. After some hesitation, Mowry went to the ground for follow-up punches that caused the referee to end the fight.

Bout 9: Ricky Bandejas (13-4) vs. Leandro Higo (19-5) (Bantamweight)

Higo scored a takedown two minutes into the fight, landing punches on top from full guard. Higo was able to move into full mount with a minute left in the fight. Higo tried for chokes from the position before the round ran out of time.

Higo scored a double leg takedown in the second minute of the second round. Higo got on the back of Bandejas shortly after landing the takedown. He eventually slipped in a rear naked choke from the position that caused Bandejas to tap out.

Bout 10: Cris Cyborg (22-2) vs. Arlene Blencowe (13-7) (Bellator Featherweight Championship)

Cyborg put Blencowe against the cage in the second minute of the fight, getting a trip takedown from the position eventually. Cyborg moved into side control shortly after scoring the takedown. With two minutes left in the fight Cyborg transitioned into full mount. She took the back of Blencowe, throwing a few punches to the head from the position. Cyborg started to look for a rear naked choke with a minute left in the round. Blencowe worked up to her feet with 30 seconds left in the round. Cyborg let some punches go outside of a clinch shortly before the round concluded.

Cyborg put Blencowe against the cage early in the second round, stringing together numerous strikes from the position. She scored a takedown a minute into the round. Blencowe started to bleed from the nose due to strikes. Blencowe gave up her back halfway through the round, causing Cyborg to put in a rear naked choke. Blencowe tapped out shortly after the choke was applied.
