A double debut between Guram Kutateladze and Mateusz Gamrot was given the “Fight of the Night” award for UFC’s event on Saturday night.
Kutateladze and Gamrot were given $50,000 bonuses, so were Jessica Andrade and Jimmy Crute, who won “Performance of the Night” awards for their fights from “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The decision victory for Kutateladze was his first in the UFC after seven wins outside of the promotion. He ended the 17-fight undefeated record of Gamrot, who is a former KSW Lightweight Champion.
Kutateladze took the fight on short notice, replacing Magomed Mustafaev.
Andrade’s win came in the co-main event of the evening, where she stopped Katlyn Chookagian late in the first round with body shots. The win for the former UFC Strawweight Champion was her first at flyweight.
Crute got his win in the fight before, stopping Modestas Bukauskas in the third minute with punches. Crute dropped Bukauskas twice with combinations of strikes before the referee intervened.
