A recent series of bouts being reported for Bellator’s October 29th event, Bellator 250, have bumped the card up to 11 fights in total. Part of the recent reports is a co-main event for the card between featherweights Henry Corrales and Brandon Girtz.
The fight joins a card that is scheduled to happen at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, USA.
The matchup between Corrales and Girtz was first reported by Nolan King of MMA Junkie.
Girtz will look to bounce back from a two-fight skid that he has faced in the past year. The losing streak kicked off in September of 2019, where he lost to former Bellator Featherweight Champion Darrion Caldwell via decision.
His last fight was in January, losing a fight to Juan Archuleta at Bellator 238.
He now faces Girtz, who is coming off a loss as well. Girtz last competed in February, losing a decision to Myles Jury in the co-main event of Bellator 239.
Veta Arteaga vs. Desiree Yanez
Former title challenge Veta Arteaga will return on the card against Desiree Yanez. The matchup was also first reported by Nolan King of MMA Junkie.
Arteaga lost a title shot to Ilima-Lei Macfarlane in April of 2019, being stopped in the third round due to a cut. She lost her second fight since then, as Alejandra Lara was picked on scorecards over her in December.
The fight will be the Bellator debut for Yanez, who enters the promotion after a two-fight stint in Combate Americas. She lost a five-round title shot last December over Melissa Martinez.
Jake Hager vs. Brandon Calton
AEW pro wrestler Jake Hager will make his fourth appearance in Bellator on the preliminary card, fighting Brandon Calton. Nolan King of MMA Junkie broke the story on Monday.
Hager has fought his entire three-fight MMA career within Bellator. He won his first two bouts in 2019, defeating JW Kiser and TJ Jones both via arm triangle choke.
His last fight, a bout in October of 2019 against Antony Garrett, was ruled a no-contest after a knee to the groin of Garrett in the second minute.
Calton will enter Bellator in the hopes to get his third-straight win as a rookie. He made his pro debut in June, stopping Conway Beaudry in just 14 seconds with strikes. He picked up his second win in August, defeating Larry Greene.
Toby Misech vs. Jared Scoggins
Jared Scoggins will make his Bellator debut on the card against Toby Misech. Rob DeMello of KHON was the first to report the matchup.
Scoggins enters the promotion after a five-fight run of wins from 2017 to present. His most recent fight was just last month, defeating Thomas Vasquez on a CFFC card.
Misech won in his last Bellator appearance, stopping Erik Perez in the first minute with strikes. He has a record of two wins and one loss within Bellator.
Adam Borics vs. Erick Sanchez
Adam Borics will look for his second win in 2020 on the card, being matched with former Combate Americas fighter Erick Sanchez. The pairing was first reported by Mike Heck of MMA Fighting.
Borics bounced back from his first loss as a pro in August, defeating Mike Hamel via split decision at Bellator 243. His loss came in January, being caught in the first round by former featherweight champion Darrion Caldwell.
Sanchez enters the promotion after two fights in Combate Americas. He lost his last fight, dropping a decision Jose Luis Verdugo.
Ty Gwerder vs. Dalton Rosta
Undefeated fighter Dalton Rosta will return to the cage against Ty Gwerder on the prelims. The matchup was first reported by Nolan King of MMA Junkie.
Rosta earned his third Bellator win in August, defeating Mark Gardner via doctor stoppage in-between the first and second round. His two previous wins were also via stoppage.
Gwerder returns after a win against George Tokkos in September. The win saw him bounce back from his first loss as a pro, which came against Joseph Creer in December.
