Marlon Moraes will return to the octagon on December 19th against Rob Font on a UFC “Fight Night” card. The bantamweight matchup was first reported by Mike Russell.
The fight joins what is currently scheduled to be the last UFC card of 2020, and is expected to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Moraes competed just recently, losing an unofficial title eliminator to Cory Sandhagen, being stopped in the second round with a spinning back kick. His previous fight was a split decision win over Jose Aldo in late 2019.
Font will be coming off a year-long layoff, as his last fight was a win in December against Ricky Simon. A win for Font would move his streak of wins to three-in-a-row, something he hasn’t achieved in his 10-fight UFC career.
Without a main event currently targeted for the show, the December 19th card now has four fights scheduled for it. Here’s the current lineup.
Bout 4: Deron Winn (6-2) vs. Antonio Braga Neto (9-3) (Middleweight)
Bout 3: Belal Muhammad (17-3) vs. Sean Brady (13-0) (Welterweight)
Bout 2: Tafon Nchukwi (4-0) vs. Jamie Pickett (11-4) (Middleweight)
Bout 1: Marlon Moraes (23-7-1) vs. Rob Font (17-4) (Bantamweight)
