Play-by-Play:

Bout 1: Edwin Cooper Jr. (2-1) vs. Ethyn Ewing (0-0) (Featherweight)

Cooper Jr. landed a double leg takedown only seconds into the fight. Ewing was quick to get to the feet, although Cooper Jr. kept pushing forward and scored another takedown. Ewing got to his feet again, although Cooper Jr. kept on him with a clinch. They left the clinch, although seconds after Cooper Jr. scored another takedown. Ewing was able to put together a few punches when they returned to striking late in the round.

Like the first round, Cooper Jr. scored a takedown immediately. He got on the back of Ewing on the ground. The fight went back to the feet in the second minute of the round, where Cooper Jr. landed a hard right cross. Cooper Jr. earned yet another takedown later in the minute. Cooper Jr. moved into a crucifix position while on top. He got on the back of Ewing after being in half guard for a moment. Ewing was thrown back down by a double leg takedown after standing up for a second in the fourth round. Most of the final minute in the round was in a clinch on the feet.

Ewing seemingly had an issue with one of his eyes, often squinting during the third round. Cooper Jr. was able to secure a takedown in the second minute of the round. Ewing was able to return to his feet with three minutes left in the fight. Ewing came forward with punches that backed Cooper Jr. up. Cooper Jr. added another double leg takedown to his performance in the third minute of the round. Ewing landed hammerfist punches to a thigh of Cooper Jr. when they went into a clinch on the feet. Cooper Jr. got on the back of Ewing for a moment in the final minute of the round after getting a takedown. Ewing charged forward with punches in the closing seconds of the fight. Cooper Jr. won on scorecards after three rounds (30-26, 29-27 & 29-27).

Bout 2: Loveth Young (1-1-1) vs. Reena Norville (0-0) (Strawweight)

Norville came forward with punches early in the first round. Young landed a counter-left hook in the first minute which landed clean. A right hook from Young as part of a combination in the second minute of the fight seemingly rocked Norville a little. Young landed a right hook in the third minute of the round that dropped Norville. Back to her feet, Norville was knocked down by another right hook, ending the fight.

Bout 3: Jalin Fuller (3-0) vs. Miles Amos (3-0) (Middleweight)

The fighters clinched up in the opening moments of the fight. Amos scored a takedown within the first minute of the fight. Fuller was able to work up to his feet, although Amos kept his pressed against the cage after. Amos caught a leg kick in the second minute of the fight, landing a double leg takedown moments after. Fuller was able to get back to the feet shortly after. Amos looked for his third takedown in the third minute of the round, although Fuller was able to resist the attempt. Amos kept Fuller against the cage for most of the second half of the round.

Like the round before, a fair portion of the second round saw Amos putting Fuller against the cage. He scored a takedown in the second minute of the round. The referee separated the fighters after Amos kept Fuller in a clinch. Amos let a series of strikes go after the separation, putting together punches and a knee that clearly wobbled Amos. The strikes caused Amos to bleed. Amos was able to recover by putting Fuller against the cage again. Fuller put together more punches and looked for a choke on the feet after the referee separated them again. Amos got on the back of Fuller in the closing seconds of the fight, although Fuller was able to turn around and let punches go from full guard on top before the round ran out of time.

Amos put Fuller against the cage in a clinch again to start the final round, scoring a takedown moments after. Fuller Looked for a choke from the bottom position after Amos scored another takedown. The choke caused Amos to tap out, ending the fight.

Bout 4: Logan Woods (3-0) vs. Ozzy Diaz (3-1) (Middleweight)

Diaz landed a clean jab in the first minute of the fight. Woods was throwing a high volume of leg kicks. The jab from Diaz was connecting frequently. A right cross from Diaz dropped Woods in the second minute of action, dropping Woods. Diaz landed follow-up punches on the ground before the referee stepped in and ended the fight.

Bout 5: Fernie Garcia (7-1) vs. Ryan Hayes (9-6) (Bantamweight)

Hayes threw numerous leg kicks early in the fight. Garcia was putting together combinations of punches on Hayes early on. The strong punches from Garcia kept Hayes on the perimeter of the cage throughout the round. Hayes started to bleed from the nose due to the punches, although he did egg Garcia on to continue. Garcia finished the round with a multi-punch combo of hooks.

Garcia continued to put together hooks in the second round. He landed an overhand right in the third minute of the round that hurt Hayes. There was hardly any work from Hayes in the round.

Jayes showed some life in the third minute of the final round, scoring a takedown. Garcia threw another series of punches when they got back to the feet again. Hayes was able to get a second takedown in the fourth minute of the round. Hayes was able to move into side control, attempting a choke for a second that Garcia escaped quickly. Garcia finished the round with a takedown of his own. Garcia got the win via split decision after three rounds (29-28 Hayes, 30-27 Garcia & 30-27 Garcia).

Bout 6: Thai Clark (8-0) vs. Chase Gibson (9-5) (Featherweight)

Both fighters traded punches and leg kicks early. Clark put Gibson against the cage in a clinch in the second minute of the fight. Gibson was able to get a takedown from the position, getting on the back of Clark. Clark failed to escape the position, trying for a few minutes to flip over into full guard on top. Gibson was able to keep him in the position for a while. Clark took full guard on top after Gibson failed to put in an armbar. Clark threw some hammerfist punches from the position until the round ran out of time.

The first half of the second round was a slow paced striking battle by both fighters. Gibson secured a double leg takedown in the fourth minute of the fight. Gibson put in a d’arce choke, keeping it until the fight ended.

Bout 7: Aaron McKenzie (8-2-1) vs. Joe Giannetti (9-3-1) (Lightweight)

McKenzie scored a takedown in the first minute of action. Giannetti was able to return to his feet, attempting to get on the back of McKenzie from the position. Giannetti pulled guard with a guillotine choke in the second minute of action. McKenzie escaped the choke, taking full guard on top after. Giannetti looked for a triangle choke from the bottom. McKenzie escaped in the final minute of the round. He moved into full mount after standing up for a moment. McKenzie looked for a rear naked choke in the closing moments of the round, letting it go before the round ran out of time.

Giannetti stopped a takedown attempt in the first minute of the round. The fight went down in the second minute of the round with McKenzie in side control. McKenzie landed punches and elbows to the head from the position.

McKenzie scored a takedown in the opening minute of the fourth round. He got on the back of Giannetti in the second minute, although he was taken out of the position after standing up. Giannetti looked for a d’arce choke in the second minute of the round. McKenzie escaped the choke, taking half guard on top after. He moved into full mount with less than three minutes left to work. Giannetti escaped the position and returned to the feet with two minutes to go. Giannetti used a choke to take top position in the fourth minute shortly after McKenzie scored a takedown. McKenzie was able to get up and put Giannetti against the cage while looking for a single leg takedown. McKenzie swept the scorecards after three rounds (30-27, 30-27 & 30-27).

Bout 8: Vanessa Demopoulos (5-2) vs. Lupita Godinez (4-0) (LFA Strawweight Championship)

Godinez caught a kick early to dump Demopoulos. Godinez put together hard punches early in the first round. Demopoulos looked for a takedown halfway through the round that was denied. Godinez continued to land hard punches that caused Demopoulos to stay on her backfoot.

Godinez stunned Demopoulos with punches in the third minute of the second round. The punches from Godinez continued to dictate the fight. Demopoulos pulled guard in the final minute of the round, taking the fight down. Godinez held side control on the ground. Godinez stunned Demopoulos with punches as they got back up to the feet. Demopoulos endured the round.

The pace of the fight slowed down significantly in the third round. Godinez dumped Demopoulos in the fourth minute of the third round. Godinez refused a takedown attempt in the final minute of the round. Demopoulos had a significant amount of blood showing on her face at this point in the fight. 

Godinez dropped Demopoulos with a jab in the third minute of the fourth round. Demopoulos was able to land her own shots in the fight, putting together a knee and a high kick in the final moments of the round.

Demopoulos was able to score a takedown a minute into the final round. She moved into half guard shortly after getting the takedown. Demopoulos landed a few elbows from the position. Godinez was able to get to her feet, although Demopoulos mounted on her. Godinez put Demopoulos down, taking full guard on top. Godinez left the position with a minute to go in the fight. Demopoulos charged forward with strikes as the fight was running out of time. Godinez was crowned the new champion after five rounds (49-46, 48-47 & 47-47).
