Saturday’s UFC “Fight Night” card has lost a bout, as Priscila Cachoeira withdrew from her fight against Cortney Casey. News of the withdrawal was reported by Evy Rodrigues of Combate first.
The fight was scheduled to be a part of the UFC card which is set to happen at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Per a Tweet from MMA Fighting’s Guilherme Cruz, Cachoeira had trouble cutting weight. She reportedly slipped and fell during the weight cut, hitting her head on a bathtub.
Cachoeira does not have a track record of missing weight, as she has been on point for her four previous flyweight UFC bouts.
Cachoeira was looking for her second UFC victory on Saturday. Her first came in February, stopping Shana Dobson within a minute with punches. The win snapped a three-fight skid in the promotion for Cachoeira.
Casey was looking to bounce back from a June loss to Gillian Robertson which came via rear naked choke.
The headlining bout for Saturday’s show is still scheduled to be a fight between Anderson Silva and Uriah Hall.
