Austin Vanderford has a new opponent for Thursday’s Bellator 251 card, as he is now paired against Vinicius de Jesus. First reported by Nolan King of MMA Junkie, de Jesus steps in on short notice to replace Chris Curtis.
The fight joins a card that is scheduled to happen at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, USA.
De Jesus will return to Bellator with the fight after bouts in CES and LFA. His last fight was a fight for the LFA Welterweight Championship, losing the fight to Jaleel Willis.
De Jesus has fought in Bellator four previous times, holding a record of three wins and one loss within the promotion.
With a new opponent, Vanderford still has the goal of remaining undefeated. Through nine fights as a pro, Vanderford has won three in Bellator.
