Saturday’s UFC card has gotten a short-notice addition to the lineup, as a middleweight fight between Brendan Allen and Sean Strickland has been added to the card.
Allen announced the bout on his Instagram on Monday.
The fight is scheduled to happen at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
“It all happened super fast, but we got everything done and put together,” said Allen in his post.
Allen’s rookie year in the UFC was a strong one, picking up three-straight victories. He made his UFC debut in October of 2019, defeating Kevin Holland in the second round with a rear naked choke.
Allen returned in February, getting a one-round finish victory over Tom Breese. His last fight was in June, winning a unanimous decision over Kyle Daukaus.
Strickland made his return to MMA in October, defeating Jack Marshman after a two-year absence from the sport.
Currently without a main event due to the withdrawal of Islam Makhachev, here’s Saturday’s UFC card.
