UFC veteran Cub Swanson will return at UFC 256, being matched against Daniel Pineda. Per a report from Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie, the fight will be a part of the December 12th pay-per-view card which is scheduled to happen in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Swanson last competed in October of 2019, defeating Kron Gracie via decision. The win for Swanson snapped a four-fight skid from 2017 to 2019.
Swanson got injured in December of 2019 during a Quintet grappling event, tearing his ACL and meniscus when facing Jake Shields. The fight in December will be his first since the injury.
Pineda made his return to the UFC in August, defeating Herbert Burns in the second round with strikes. The fight was his first in the promotion after a 12-fight run in other promotions, including fights in Bellator and PFL.
