Two Fights Added To January 30th UFC Card

Two fights have been added to UFC’s January 30th event. The location of the show is currently not known.

Carlos Condit vs. Matt Brown

Veterans Matt Brown and Carlos Condit will be paired for the 2021 card. The fight was first reported by Damon Martin of MMA Fighting.

Condit snapped a five-fight skid in October, defeating Court McGee via decision. Condit’s previous win dated back to 2015, where he defeated Thiago Alves.

Brown lost his last fight, being stopped in the second round by Miguel Baeza back in May. He won his previous fight, defeating Ben Saunders in 2019.

Kelvin Gastelum vs. Ian Heinisch

Kelvin Gastelum will aim to end a three-fight streak of losses when paired against Ian Heinisch. Brett Okamoto of ESPN was the first to report the fight.

Gastelum has lost his last three fights, albeit against high-level fighters in the middleweight division. After losses in 2019 to Israel Adesanya and Darren Till, Gastelum lost in July to Jack Hermansson, being caught early with a heel hook.

Heinisch won his last fight, defeating Gerald Meerschaert via stoppage in June. The fight saw Heinisch bounce back from two losses in 2019. Heinisch was set to fight Brendan Allen in November, although the fight was cancelled after Heinisch tested positive for COVID-19.

The January 30th UFC card now has six fights scheduled. Without a main event set currently, here’s how the card looks.
