Marvin Vettori Steps In To Face Jack Hermansson In December 5th UFC Main Event

Marvin Vettori will step in on short notice to fight Jack Hermansson at UFC’s December 5th event, replacing Kevin Holland. News of the matchup was first reported by Ariel Helwani of ESPN.

The fight will be the main event of a card from the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

News of Holland’s withdrawal from the card was first reported on Saturday, with news breaking that the middleweight tested positive for COVID-19.

Vettori taking the bout pulls him from a UFC 256 fight against Jacare Souza.

Vettori has won his last three fights in the UFC. His most recent bout was in June, where he defeated Karl Roberson in the first round with a rear naked choke.

Hermansson returned to the win column in his last fight, catching Kelvin Gastelum in the second minute of action with a heel hook.
