UFC 256: Junior dos Santos vs. Ciryl Gane Play-by-Play

Undefeated heavyweight Ciryl Gane fought on Saturday’s UFC 256 pay-per-view card against Junior dos Santos. The fight went like this.

Bout 6: Junior dos Santos (21-8) vs. Ciryl Gane (6-0) (Heavyweight)

Gane was landing lots of high kicks early in the fight. A pause came in the fourth minute of action as dos Santos was kicked in the groin. Gane’s leg kicks were connecting frequently throughout the round. Dos Santos put together a few punches late in the round that seemingly rocked Gane.

Gane continued to land leg kicks in the second round. Gane clinched with dos Santos for a moment in the second minute of the round. Pressing forwards with punches, Gane hurt dos Santos with a jab. Gane dropped dos Santos with an elbow, ending the fight.

RESULT: Ciryl Gane def. Junior dos Santos via TKO, Strikes (RD 2, 2:34)
